Kitchen Progression

Monday I was unprepared for a big grocery shopping trip and used far too many bags for my poor furoshiki to accommodate. A huge step back.

That noted, I’m now well stocked enough on groceries to be set, aside from the farmer’s market for fresh produce for at least a month. A huge relief because it seems like no matter what grocery store I’m in(except the Japanese one), staff are improperly wearing masks as chin straps or peeking their noses out of the top- in restaurants too. It’ll just be produce stands and farmer’s markets for me for a while.

Last week, my boss’s son gave everybody a bag of carrots! Last night I chopped them up to store in the fridge(covered in water to keep them fresh) and two had tops that looked promising. This morning I had tiny leaves sprouting! Maybe I’ll score some carrot greens!
